Who doesn't like to crawl into a warm bed on a cold night? Athena and I try to go to bed at the same time most nights. Inevitably, I reach the mattress about 10 or more minutes before she does as she goes through her 25 steps of getting ready.

While she is removing her make-up, scrubbing this, and cleansing that, I sometimes lie on her side of the bed for several minutes to warm it up for her. Just before she emerges from the bathroom, I scoot back over to my side of the bed.

She's caught on to my little trick so if I am ever up late working on something, she makes my side even warmer by putting the heating pad under the covers until I enter the room.

Now if we could only devise a system that would keep Athena's feet from being colder than a bag of frozen peas.
